Andrew W. Savitz

Andrew Savitz is a principal at Sustainable Business Strategies, an independent consultancy located in Boston, Massachusetts. He was formerly a lead Partner in the Environmental and Sustainability Services group at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC).

 

He is the author of the widely acclaimed book The Triple Bottom Line: How the Best-Run Companies are Achieving Economic, Social and Environmental Success - and How You Can Too (Wiley, August 2006, 2013).  This classic on sustainability is being revised and updated for a second edition, due out in late 2013.

 

Andy's second book, Talent, Transformation and the Triple Bottom Line: How Companies Can Leverage Human Resources to Achieve Sustainable Growth (Wiley, 2013) presents a new, powerful case for employee engagement and is a call to action and guidebook for HR professionals.  Andy has worked closely with many large and small organizations to help them find their Sustainability Sweet Spots and to embed sustainability in their operational and employee life-cycle processes.

 

Savitz is the founding Chair of the Massachusetts League of Environmental Voters. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the Johns Hopkins University, attended New College, Oxford as a Rhodes Scholar and graduated from Georgetown University Law School where he was an editor of the Law Review.

 

Andy is a life-long resident of Massachusetts. Despite everything, he remains a loyal fan of the Boston Red Sox.
